Drop that Beat: Our Go-To Self-Care Playlist!

Drop that Beat: Our Go-To Self-Care Playlist!

In last week’s blog, we shared our list of feel-good go-to movies. This week we’re sharing our go-to self-care playlist.

Music has always been a part of our self-care routine. Remember drivin’ and cryin’ with a good mix tape and a diet coke? All jokes aside, whether it is a good laugh, some tears, or space to think, music plays a big part in setting the tone for self-care.

We are in our 40s and our playlist reflects that (but hey, these should all be classics, right?). While we love Phoebe Bridgers, when we really want the feels, we go back to the music that has stirred us since we were teens.

So whether it’s a diet coke and a drive, a relaxing stroll, or an afternoon on the couch, take our playlist with you.

  • These are Days,10000 Maniacs
  • Sullivan Street, Counting Crows
  • Jolene, Dolly Parton
  • In My Life, The Beatles
  • I’ve Got Dreams to Remember, Otis Redding
  • Angeles, Elliott Smith
  • The Chain, Fleetwood Mac
  • Another Lonely Day, Ben Harper
  • Into the Mystic, Van Morrison
  • Nightswimming, REM

We’ll keep sharing our favorites, but for now, we’re going to grab the gas card, buy food for all our friends, and sing My Sharona at the top of our lungs. If you get the reference, you’re welcome. Let us know your go-to songs for self-care @shopbminton
