Back to School in the Time of COVID!

Pug wearing scarf and glasses

It’s that time of year again, where you start to think about what life is like when our kids are in school. A “normal” work schedule, maybe a few more trips to the gym per week, a lunch with friends...yeah, us too. But this year is so, so very different because of COVID-19. If back to school could get any more “stressy”?!?

In Charleston, we too are weighing virtual options versus in-person schooling. We’re all asking our friends, “what should we do?” and “have you heard anything?” And a lot of us don’t have a choice; we have full-time jobs that don’t allow us to work from home.

We’re facing this time of turbulence and looking for the bright spots: the long walk, 15 minutes on the dock, 30 minutes with our phones off. Whatever your “thing” is, just be sure to make time for you. Remember, to be able to care for others, you must first take care of yourself!
